4 September 2009 - I just wanted to show you how densely-packed a cornfield is. The stalks are planted closely together. This holds the heat in, keeps the weeds down, as well as blocks the winds for the developing corn. Picking it is very hot and hard work, and we do it by hand here. Each picker can feel how fully developed the ear is before he picks it.
