29 September 2008 - Tomatoes! These are still plenty of tomatoes left, but as soon as the first frost hits, that's it. No more fresh tomatoes. We also have Pick-Your-Own tomatoes at this time of year - so come NOW and pick enough for canned tomatoes through the winter (I do spaghetti sauce, and it's SO much better that what I could buy at the supermarket).
