 9 September 2007 - Locally there are many fields of field corn, or corn grown for animals (and new fuel). The farmers want to harvest their corn with very little moisture in the kernels. Since this is such a dry year, the corn will probably be ready to harvest earlier than usual. They need to get it before it rains again. Farmers always need to be aware of the changing weather conditions. |
