June 2006 - On the way to pick cherries is this 'farm thing.' This "farm thing" is a grain drier. When corn is harvested in the Fall for livestock, the percentage of water must be very low. If it isn't low enough when cut from the field, it must be further dried in a large silo-type building such as this with a fan and drier attached. (Thank you Nancy L. Williams for your photos.) |
