 January 2006 - This building is a Corncrib. It was used to store and dry corn. The mature, field-dried corn would be harvested and put into each narrow side of the building. Wagons could pull in between the 2 sides and be loaded up with corn. The boards are spaced widely to let are flow through and dry the corn. |
