26 Nov. 2005 - This green is planted Rye that Farmer Ben uses as a ground crop. The roots dig into the soil and hold it in place during the harsh winter storms and wind. In the Spring, it will be killed and plowed in as “grow-in-place” manure (or fertillizer). |
