Late May 2003 - Can you tell I love strawberry blossoms? They are so bright, cheerful and full of promise for delicious strawberries to come. At this stage in their development, strawberries can be killed by frost. It they are hit by frost, the center part of the blossom, which is now yellow will die and turn black. It will never form a strawberry if this happens. |
